Many couples in which one partner has myotonic dystrophy want to have children. There is a study that looks at pre-Implant diagnosis here the threat of the disease is eliminated. With the correct diagnosis myotonic dystrophy can be prevented for the next generation. By using pre-implant diagnosis the next generation can be assured not to have myotonic dystrophy.
